Captain
Capt.
Chris Armstrong
grew up fishing in the Hawaiian
Islands and caught his first Marlin at the age of 11, a 546 pound Pacific Blue,
off the Kona Coast. “I knew then what it was I wanted to do in life and
couldn’t wait to get my Captain's License.”
Capt.
Chris fished both Honolulu and Kona for years before settling down in Kona in
1983. Over the years, Capt. Chris has acquired quite a repertoire of
fishing techniques from some of the best in the business. These are the
techniques needed in locating, hooking and landing all of the sport-fish offered
here.
“I
enjoy learning different ways of attracting these fish to bite. Trying different
methods over the years from captains, crews and anglers from here and around the
globe keeps things interesting and fun. I feel once one thinks they know
everything about this game, it’s time to change games. This
is a constant learning field out here, and as more and more places in the world
are opening Marlin fisheries, there can only be more to learn and
teach."
Capt.
Chris’ main goal is customer satisfaction. “Our charters are based on what
it is the customer wants to catch not what we want to catch." We encourage all
ages of anglers to come out and experience the thrill of Big Game Fishing.
“Not
everyone wants to catch a Marlin, so we cater to what the customer wants to fish
for.”
